What to do when you get to Chatel

So if you are not using our "There&Back" option, when you arrive/leave in Chatel (unless otherwise agreed) you really need to make a trip to the Ski Shop the priority. Everyone who is renting equipment needs to be present. (You will be asked your weight so it will save time if you already know it...in Kilos preferably)

Please remember that ski boots work best when there is just foot and leg, one thickness of ski sock inside them. So skin tight jeans that do not come up over your knees will leave a less than perfect fit.

Try and remember to wear or bring with you the socks you will be wearing on the mountain.

The location of the shop is in Chatel on the way to the ski slopes. It is 400metres from the telecabine at Linga and en-route to the skiing at Pres-la-Joux. A free bus service goes pretty much past the front door with a stop very close.

Throughout the season, several bus lines are available free of charge to transport you around Châtel.
All buses are equipped with signs indicating the letter and the colour of the line. They are also designed to take a lot of skiers with their kit so don't worry...its very normal to jump on the free buses with your skis and boots. On each circuit, the shuttles take care of you at fixed stops.

Bus Numbers:
Line 2 (Blue): Petit-Châtel / Freinets / Linga 1 bus every 20 minutes.
